CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson baseball will open its 2027 season against Texas for the first time ever, part of a schedule the program released Thursday that puts the Tigers against 2026 NCAA Tournament teams in 28 regular-season games.
The season begins Feb. 19-21 in Arlington, Texas, at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, played at the home park of the Texas Rangers. After Texas, Clemson meets defending national champion Oklahoma and then Arizona.
Home play at Doug Kingsmore Stadium starts Wednesday, Feb. 24, against Western Carolina, followed by a three-game set with Brown. The rivalry series with South Carolina opens March 5 in Clemson, moves to Fluor Field in Greenville the next day and wraps up at Founders Park in Columbia on Sunday.
Pittsburgh visits for the ACC opener on March 19. Road series at Miami, Wake Forest and North Carolina are on the slate, with California making the trip east instead of the Tigers going west. NC State comes to Clemson for the final regular-season series on May 20-22, a week before the ACC Tournament in Durham.
The 2027 season will be the 130th for the program and the fifth under head coach Erik Bakich. Season-ticket renewals open in November.
