CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson volleyball closes its four-match home stand with two ranked opponents at Jervey Gym this weekend, meeting No. 7 SMU at 6 p.m. Friday and No. 2 Pitt at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Tigers come in at 8-12 overall and 2-6 in ACC play after winning both of their matches last week. Every one of those eight wins has come at home, where Clemson is 8-6. Libero Addi Rains picked up the ACC’s weekly defensive honor for topping five digs per set across those two matches.
SMU arrives at 14-4 and 6-2 in the league. The all-time series is even at 3-3, though the Mustangs have won the last three meetings.
Pitt is 17-1 and 7-1 in the ACC, sits No. 1 in the national RPI and was ranked No. 2 in the NCAA selection committee’s midseason top 16. The Panthers play at Georgia Tech on Friday night before heading to Clemson. Pitt has won 15 of 16 matches against the Tigers and has never lost at Jervey Gym in eight visits.
Both matches stream on ACCNX. Clemson then goes on the road to Louisville and Notre Dame.
