The Greenville Swamp Rabbits opened Bon Secours Wellness Arena to the public Sunday for a free community open house ahead of the new ECHL season.
Fans could watch an open training camp and a question-and-answer session with Head Coach Chad Costello in the morning. Afternoon programming included a screening of the hockey film Miracle on the arena’s new video board with free popcorn and ice cream, followed by free public skating starting at 3:30 p.m.
Arena managers said the open house also showcased recent campus upgrades, including new dasher boards, glass and the video board. Swamp Rabbits executive vice president Andrew DePuy said seeing ice in and players skating was a sign Opening Night is near and invited fans to get an early look at the 2026-27 roster and facility improvements.
Bon Secours Wellness Arena partnered with the team and Levy Concessions on the free-admission day. Organizers had asked attendees to RSVP online beforehand, though tickets were not required.
The event was framed as a family-friendly kickoff for hockey season in downtown Greenville.
