CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson takes its second straight road test of a loud stadium on Saturday, Oct. 31, when the Tigers visit Florida State for a 7 p.m. Halloween night kickoff at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
The Tigers are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in ACC play. Florida State sits at 3-4 and 1-3 in the league, so both programs are trying to salvage a season that has not gone to plan.
Freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds, who first took snaps in the season opener at LSU, is coming off a home loss to Virginia Tech. He completed 20 of 26 throws for 153 yards and ran for a score, but managed only 27 passing yards before halftime. Clemson has scored 52 of its 81 ACC points after the break, and Reynolds said the offense needs to get going earlier.
The Seminoles will be short-handed. Starting cornerback Quindarrius Jones is listed out, and leading rusher Ousmane Kromah is done for the year after an ankle fracture and dislocation against Miami. For Clemson, backup receiver Gordon Sellars III is questionable with a concussion.
Florida State has allowed about 27.9 points per game this fall.
