TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Clemson’s trip to Florida State in Tallahassee will be a Halloween night affair. The Atlantic Coast Conference slotted the Tigers and Seminoles for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Doak Campbell Stadium, and ACC Network will carry the game.
The league released the time Monday along with the rest of its Oct. 31 lineup. For Clemson, it is one more prime-time date in a season that has been played mostly after dark.
Dabo Swinney’s team sits at 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference games. Both of its losses came against the only ranked opponents it has faced, LSU and Miami.
Florida State brings a 3-4 record and a 1-3 ACC mark into the matchup. The Seminoles beat Virginia 38-7 at home for their lone league win, then lost to top-ranked Miami in double overtime last week. They are off this Saturday, so they will have two weeks to prepare.
Clemson must first deal with Virginia Tech at home this weekend, another night game. The Tigers have taken the last two meetings with Florida State, including a 24-10 victory in Clemson a year ago.
