CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson football heads into a two-week road swing, starting Saturday at Florida State and continuing with a noon kickoff at Syracuse on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The Atlantic Coast Conference released start times for Week 10 on Monday, putting the Tigers and the Orange in the early window in upstate New York. Syracuse comes in at 3-4 overall and 1-4 against league opponents.
Clemson sits at 4-3 and 2-2 in ACC play after letting a late lead slip away at home against Virginia Tech. Head coach Dabo Swinney put the blame on himself and his staff, saying the coaches must do better and that it begins with him.
The trip to Tallahassee opens a closing stretch of five games. Offense has been the sore spot, with freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds and the passing game struggling and the line coming under fire. On the other side of the ball, end Will Heldt, linebacker Sammy Brown and corner Ashton Hampton remain the Tigers’ standouts.
With bowl eligibility on the line, Clemson needs two more wins from the remaining slate to reach six.
