CLEMSON, S.C. — President Donald Trump is coming to Clemson next Wednesday, Oct. 21, for a midterm election rally, the Republican National Committee announced Thursday.
No venue has been named yet. Gates for the evening event are set to open at 3:30 p.m., the program is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m., and the president is expected to take the stage around 7 p.m.
Admission is free with an online RSVP through the RNC, and each signup is limited to four tickets. The rally is being put on by the Trump 47 Committee, Inc.
The stop is aimed at boosting U.S. Sen. Darline Graham, the Republican seeking to hold her seat against Charleston Democrat Annie Andrews. Graham told reporters a day before the announcement that a presidential visit looked likely and that she would welcome him to the Upstate.
It will be the president’s second campaign trip to South Carolina this year. In late August he campaigned for Graham in Myrtle Beach ahead of her primary runoff with U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman.
The visit lands two days into the state’s early voting window, which runs Oct. 19 through Oct. 31.
