CLEMSON, S.C. — Saturday night’s 20-16 home loss to Virginia Tech still produced a milestone night for Clemson kicker Nolan Hauser, who made all three of his field goal tries and moved up the program’s career charts.
Hauser connected from 34, 49 and 36 yards. Two of those kicks came in a third quarter in which the Tigers rallied from a 10-3 halftime deficit to take the lead.
His second make was his 53rd career field goal, lifting him past Jad Dean into eighth place at Clemson. The same kick gave him 268 career kicking points, moving him ahead of Chris Gardocki for seventh in school history and into 11th on the list of all Clemson scorers.
It was the fourth game this season, and the sixth of his career, in which Hauser made at least three field goals.
He also handled punting twice and boomed a career-best 63-yarder in the second quarter, the first Clemson punt of 60 yards or more since 2023.
