Andrew Tarbell Inducted into Clemson Athletics Hall of Fame
Andrew Tarbell, a former Fontainebleau soccer standout, was inducted into the Clemson Athletics Hall of Fame on September 12. Tarbell graduated from Fontainebleau High in December 2011 and earned a civil engineering degree from Clemson University in December 2015.
During his senior year, Tarbell recorded nine shutouts, which ranks as the sixth most in a single season in Clemson school history. In 2015, he was recognized as a second-team All-American on the field and a second-team Academic All-America goalkeeper, according to NSCAA.
Tarbell went on to have a 10-year professional goalkeeping career, which included two Major League Soccer Cup Championships. He signed with the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS in January 2016 and later won an MLS Cup Championship with the Columbus Crew in 2020.
Tarbell has since moved back to Mandeville, where he resides with his wife, Caroline, and their three children: James, Theodora, and George.
