London, England — Former Clemson running back Will Shipley suffered a partial tear of his plantar fascia during the Philadelphia Eagles’ 19-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, and the injury could sideline him for multiple weeks.

The former Tiger made his second career NFL start and his first since 2024 after Saquon Barkley was ruled out with a hamstring injury. The Eagles were already without Tank Bigsby, who was placed on injured reserve after core-muscle surgery.

Shipley scored his first NFL touchdown on a 2-yard run that tied the score at 7-7 with 8:46 left in the second quarter. He finished with five carries for 6 yards and one catch for 7 yards before Dameon Pierce took over in the backfield.

The plantar fascia is the thick band of tissue running from the heel to the toes that supports the arch of the foot. No exact timetable or treatment plan has been announced.

Philadelphia took Shipley in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In 36 career games, he has rushed 64 times for 188 yards. The Eagles, at 2-3 with a three-game losing streak, host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
