Clemson, S.C. — Clemson returns to Memorial Stadium on Saturday when the Tigers host Charleston Southern at noon on ACC Network, the first game after an open date.
Clemson enters at 3-2 overall and 2-1 in ACC play. Charleston Southern is 3-3. The Tigers are coming off a 41-13 loss to No. 3 Miami on Oct. 3 and will look to restore confidence at home against a non-power conference opponent.
It will be only the second meeting in program history. Clemson won the first matchup 66-17 at home in 2023. Clemson is paying Charleston Southern $450,000 to come to Memorial Stadium this season, according to reporting on the series.
Under coach Dabo Swinney, Clemson is 18-6 after bye weeks. This will be the first time the Tigers have played a non-power conference team after a bye under Swinney. The Buccaneers game is the second of three consecutive October home games for Clemson.
ESPN Football Power Index projects a strong home win probability for Clemson against Charleston Southern. Kickoff is set for noon Saturday, Oct. 17, with the ACC Network carrying the broadcast from Death Valley.
