The final time and TV network will be set after Week 7 games are finished on Oct. 17. The night game will be the first matchup between James Franklin and Dabo Swinney, with Franklin in his first season leading the Hokies.
It will be Virginia Tech’s first trip to Clemson’s Death Valley since October 2012, a game the Hokies lost 38-17. Clemson enters at 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the ACC after a bye and a 41-13 loss to Miami. Virginia Tech is 4-2 and 1-2 in league play.
The schools will meet for the 38th time. Clemson leads the series 24-12-1 and has won seven straight in the matchup. Virginia Tech has not beaten Clemson since Oct. 6, 2007, when the Hokies won 41-23.
The last two meetings were both played in Blacksburg, a 45-10 Clemson win in 2020 and a 24-14 Clemson win in 2024. Fans planning a trip to Clemson for the game can expect the official start time to be posted after this weekend’s slate.
